Panopto - How to Restore a Recycled Video
Now in Panopto, deleted recordings will be stored in a Recycle Bin for 90 days (as of 2018-12-15).
Note: After the session has been in the recycle bin for 90 days it will automatically go into a hard delete, which means the session will be gone permanently.
Prerequisites
- Administrator, Videographer, or Creator access to Panopto
Restore a Recycled Session
- To see a session in the Recycle Bin, you must delete the session. Select Delete below the session in the video library (See Figure 1).

- Click on System in the lower left corner of the library. Then, select Recycle Bin(Fig. 2).

- Here you should see your deleted session. Click on RestoreĀ to bring the video back to its original folder (Fig. 3).
