How to: Share a OneDrive Folder Link
This article will explain the process for creating a folder in OneDrive and how to get a shareable link that can be sent to others at DMU to collect files. Please note this does require the recipients to have a DMU account in order to access the folder and upload files.
To Create and Share a folder follow these steps:
- Sign into Microsoft 365 with your DMU credentials.
- If that link doesn't take you directly to OneDrive, click the 9 dots in the top left corner and select OneDrive.

- If you don’t already have a folder created, click the + Add New button at the top left corner of the screen, and choose Folder.

- Click the share button next to the folder you created.

- Click the gear icon to open the link settings.

- Select People in Des Moines University, and ensure "Can edit” is selected from the dropdown menu.

- Click Apply.
- Then click Copy link and paste the link into an email or message to anyone at DMU you want to collect files from.
