Enabling Live Transcription

Enabling Live Transcription

This article will show you how to enable the Live Transcription feature within a Zoom meeting, as well as provide you with an example of what your participants will see. This feature uses automatic speech recognition (ASR) to generate immediate closed captions while they are being spoken. {Please keep in mind most ASR transcription results in approximately 70-80% accuracy.}

  1. Launch your Zoom meeting.
  2. Click the Live Transcript button fount on the Zoom meeting toolbar.
  3. Click Enable Auto-Transcription

Note: As a presenter, there is no way to hide subtitles without disabling Live Transcript, but you are able to reposition the subtitles if they are in the way.

Participants will have the option to hide the subtitles, view the full transcript, or adjust the size of the subtitles by clicking on the Live Transcript button on the Zoom meeting toolbar.
