Crestron AirMedia
All Learning Studios and Labs are equipped with Crestron AirMedia for wireless content sharing. AirMedia enabled displays can also be found a few additional places around campus. The Crestron AirMedia application has been pushed to all faculty and staff laptops. If faculty or staff do not see it, connect to VPN and open Software Center to locate and download the Crestron AirMedia application. Students can download the application from the Crestron website or the app store on mobile devices.
To connect to AirMedia:
- In Learning Studios or Labs, route the AirMedia source to the room displays or share the AirMedia source to your Zoom meeting.
- Open the Crestron AirMedia application on your laptop or mobile device.
- Locate the "Present Wireless" address from the bottom-left corner of the room display and type it into the "Connect" input field on your device without the "http://" prefix (e.g., 10.11.12.13), followed by Enter on your keyboard.
- A 4-digit code will appear on the room display. Type the code into the Crestron AirMedia app and hit Enter on your keyboard or click Connect.
- Give the application a moment to connect, and then you'll see your device screen mirrored on the room display(s).
Note: Do not close the AirMedia application on your device or it will disconnect from the room display. You can minimize it or just click into a different application.
- To share audio, toggle on the speaker control in the Crestron AirMedia app if it's not already enabled. This will automatically mute your computer speakers so the audio is only shared to the room. Note that audio playback is only available for AirMedia displays in Learning Studios and Labs.
- When you're done, click Disconnect from the Crestron AirMedia application on your device.
