[ITS Information] LastPass Password Management Launching Monday February 24th
To our DMU Community:
As part of our Cybersecurity Risk Management Program, we continually review and assess our organization for risks. As part of that effort, we identified the need have organizational password management to help keep staff and faculty usernames and passwords safe. We are now pleased to announce the addition of LastPass service that will help you better manage your passwords. The goals of this program are to:
Provide a secure, university-approved location for business passwords. All usernames and passwords for DMU business use must be migrated to LastPass.
Eliminate the frustration of lost and forgotten passwords.
Educate you on easy ways to improve your 'password hygiene' to better protect your digital identity and our university data.
Our Implementation plan will have a couple of important details:
Starting on February 24, you will receive a welcome email from LastPass. Please follow the instructions to login and get started.
LastPass requires a browser plugin to function and will be automatically deployed to your DMU workstation.
