How to Set Up Qualtrics SSO Authenticator for your Survey The Qualtrics Single Sign-On (SSO) Authenticator allows you to force users to log in with their DMU account, in order to verify their identity, before they can complete a Qualtrics survey. This functionality is recommended for advanced Qualtrics users. Submit a Qualtrics request if you'd like assistance. Note that this will not work if any of your survey respondents are external to DMU. Log in to your DMU Qualtrics account and navigate to the desired survey. Click the icon from the left side toolbar to go to Survey Flow. Select Add a New Element Here from the bottom of the Survey Flow. Select Authenticator for "What do you want to add?". Set the "Authentication Type" to SSO and the "SSO Type" to Shibboleth. The "Connection" should default to dmu. If you want to include any of the respondent's identifying information with their response: Check the box for Capture respondent identifying info. Click Add Embedded Data. Use the plus sign (+) to add additional fields and the minus sign (-) to remove fields. Enter any of the following fields you wish to capture: Move all your question blocks to nest under the Authenticator. This ensures the question blocks will only be displayed to respondents if they successfully authenticate. Optional: Click Options to adjust any of the default settings regarding number of login attempts and what happens after successful and unsuccessful authentication. Click Apply. Be sure to publish your changes before distributing the survey.
