How to: Setup an Additional Authentication Method

These instructions will walk you through setting up an additional authentication method for your DMU account. Having more than 1 authentication method is needed if you get a new phone to prevent losing access to your account.

Possible authentication methods include

SMS text to your phone number
Authenticator app on another device like an Ipad

Access Security Settings for your account:

Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup
Login using your DMU credentials
On the Security Info page choose add sign-in method.
Choose an option (Microsoft Authenticator or Phone)
Complete the prompts to activate your secondary method.

(Optional) You can also change your default MFA method at the top of the page.
