Epocrates: Create Account and Request Complimentary Subscription
Epocrates has changed their method(s) for obtaining a free subscription to their service. There are two methods: 1) Request as a student via Feedback and 2) a method for DOs only, using a Medical Education number from the AMA.
Each method will require you to have an account registered with Epocrates using your DMU email address. You will need to create the account yourself as DMU or ITS does not set them up automatically.

Important Note from Epocrates Support: Please ensure you are using your student email address for your Epocrates account. Further details regarding this offer will be sent to this address for confirmation purposes. If needed, your account email can be updated from the profile page online at epocrates.com or by using the "Change Email" option form the profile section of the mobile app.
Your occupation can be updated to reflect you as a student from the profile page at epocrates.com using the link below. If you cannot find a specific listing that matches your area of study, please use "Student - Other".
Method 1: Request as a student via Feedback.
1. Visit the Epocrates Feedback page here: https://www.epocrates.com/online/feedback
2. Select Student Resources
3. Fill out the form to request a subscription and include the following required items:
Your name and the email address used for your Epocrates account
Name of school
Name of medical program in which you are enrolled (Full names, not just acronyms)
Your DMU student email address
Method 2: Use a Medical Education Number
DO students have the option to use an AMA Medical Education (ME) number for their subscription. Using your ME number will provide you will the same subscription and it will last until graduation.
Pro: You will only need to sign up once and not renew every year.
Con: You need to join the AMA and obtain the Medical Education number first, which is an entirely separate process.
