Start an Ad Hoc Zoom Room Meeting
This article explains how to start an ad hoc Zoom Room meeting if you are using an available room for an impromptu meeting or if you need to add a Zoom meeting at the last minute.
- From the tabletop Crestron controller in the meeting room, click the orange "New Meeting" button.
- Note: If the screen is black, first touch the screen once to wake it up and then click the "New Meeting" button as specified above.
- Your meeting will start, and the room audio and video will also start automatically.
- To invite participants, touch "Invite" from the Crestron controller. Then search for participants by name and touch to select them. Then touch "Invite" from the top-right corner of the screen.
- If you want to record the meeting, click the "Record" button from the in-meeting controls on the Crestron controller. You'll be prompted to enter your email address. Please enter your full email address [employees as firstname.lastname@dmu.edu] so the recording can be automatically routed to your Panopto folder.
- When you're done with the meeting, click the red "End" button to end the meeting and then confirm by selecting "End Meeting for All".
