How to Upload a video file to Panopto

This article will walk you through how to manually upload a video file from your computer to Panopto. Panopto supports most video file formats including, but not limited to, MP4, MOV, AVI, and WMV. Reach out to the Solutions Hub for assistance with any files that generate an error message when attempting to upload to Panopto.

1. Log into https://dmu.hosted.panopto.com
2. Use the Browse tab on the left side of the screen to navigate to the Panopto folder you want to upload to.

3. Click the purple Create button.
4. Click Upload Media.

5. Drag the file into the dotted box.

6. Wait until you receive this message and then you may close out of Panopto.
