ALS Portable Kit

Step 1: Check out a Portable Kit from the Solutions Hub

Step 2: Connect the transmitter

The small connector on the end of the cable plugs into the headphone jack of the beltpack. The larger connector plugs into the credenza. Depress the center button on the beltpack for power.

Step 3: Connect the receiver

There are two options for listening.

Option 1) Plug the headphones into the headphone jack of the beltpack. Turn the power on and adjust the volume using the dial found on the top of the beltpack.

Option 2) If you have a T-Coil type of hearing aid, you can utilize a neck loop instead  of the headphones. Drape the neck loop over your shoulders and plug the connector into the headphone jack of the beltpack. Turn the power on and adjust the volume using the dial found on the top of the beltpack.

For optimal listening quality

  • Mute the audience microphones within the space
  • Extend the beltpack away from the headphones or earpiece

ALS In-Room

The in room system can be found within the credenza of the room.

Connect the receiver

Like the portable kits, the in-room system has two listening options.

Option 1) Plug the earpiece into the headphone jack of the beltpack. Turn on the power by depressing the center button, and adjust the volume levels using the arrow buttons.

Option 2) If you have a T-Coil type of hearing aid, you can utilize a neck loop instead of the headphones. Drape the neck loop over your shoulders and plug the connector into the headphone jack of the beltpack. Turn on the power by depressing the center button, and adjust the volume levels using the arrow buttons.

For optimal listening quality

  • Mute the audience microphones within the space
  • Extend the beltpack away from the headphones or earpiece

Connecting in the Olsen Center

The wall connection in the Olsen Center requires an adaptor which is provided in the kit.

The wall connector is located on the north wall close to the stage area. Plug the adaptor

into either of the the jacks marked "out".

Connect the cable to the adaptor and follow all previous portable kit instructions.
