In D2L navigate to the content module you would like to add 

Click the Insert Stuff Icon in the HTML Editor

Select Panopto Recordings from the Insert Stuff menu.

Checkbox next to the video you would like to insert and click Insert

Confirm the video is the correct one using the Preview and select Insert to add the video to the content.

Save and Close the page to finalize.
