Application Overview: Zoom
Modified on: Fri, May 30 2025 2:07 PMZoom is a unified application for voice calling, video calling, virtual meetings, chat, and more. It is also our virtual learning environment tool for both fully virtual and hybrid synchronous classes. All DMU faculty, staff, and students can access Zoom through single sign-on using your DMU credentials. Your Zoom account allows you to meet virtually with DMU students and employees and with external participants.
Employee Accounts
Faculty and staff Zoom accounts offer the following features:
- Unlimited length meetings with up to 1000 attendees
- Zoom Webinars with up to 1000 attendees
- Zoom Sessions with up to 1000 attendees
- Zoom Phone license
- Zoom Whiteboard Plus - unlimited boards
- Zoom Team Chat
- Single sign-on using your DMU account
- Outlook calendar plug-in
- Schedule meetings for someone else or allow someone else to schedule meetings for you
- Breakout rooms
- Cloud recording with Panopto integration
Student Accounts
Student Zoom accounts offer the following features:
- Unlimited length meetings with up to 300 attendees
- Zoom Whiteboard - unlimited boards
- Zoom Team Chat
- Single sign-on using your DMU account
- Outlook calendar plug-in
- Breakout rooms
- Cloud recording with Panopto integration
Request Additional Features
Make a request if you need any of the following features:
- Host a Zoom Meeting or Webinar with more than 1000 participants
- Host more than 2 concurrent Zoom Meetings
