Attendance Scanner Reports [2023 - Legacy]
This will walk you through creating and exporting attendance badge reports from the version 2 attendance system. NOTE: This report is for the previous attendance system (version 2). If you are looking information regarding the current system, version 2024, follow the link below: https://dmu.freshservice.com/support/solutions/articles/14000051445 Generate the report 1. Click this link: https://powerbi.dmu.edu/ReportS/report/Legacy/Attendance/AttendanceReport_v2.0 2. Select your Location in the drop-down menu. Then select what machines you need data from in that location. Note: You can select one or more machines at a time in the Machine Drop down menu. This is a change from the last version of the reporting process. 3. Select the Event Date 4. Generate your attendance report by clicking the View Report in the upper right hand corner. The data will output to a table that you can now view or export Export The Report 1. To export the table, click the Export Button and choose the desired format, then Save the File.

If you are looking for report data from the previous version (version 2) follow the link below: https://dmu.freshservice.com/support/solutions/articles/14000043882 Generate the Report Go to the PowerBI Report page: General Attendance Report: https://powerbi.dmu.edu/ReportS/report/Legacy/Attendance/AttendanceReport_2024 SP TimeCard Report: https://powerbi.dmu.edu/ReportS/report/Legacy/Attendance/StandardizedPatientTimeCards Select the parameters needed: Location (location is the dept or area assigned for the attendance device you use) Machine (machine is the name of the device or "reader." You can select multiple.) Event Date Event will be N/A (Events are only used for the Board Meetings reader) Click View Report in the upper right-hand corner to view the data. Export the Report 4. Click the Disk/Export icon > Select the desired format and save when prompted.

Overview: Attendance Software (version 2024)
This article will walk you through using Attendance software interface and options. Dedicated attendance computers are available for checkout from the Solutions Hub and/or can be issued to users/department for long term use if determined it is needed. Interface: The main screen has 4 items A. Scan Badge box: This is where badge numbers are entered, either manually or using a reader. B. Records/Logs: All badge entries and comments with corresponding time stamps. C. Comment box: Text box used to add manual comments and save them to the log. D. Counter: Running count of how many badge entries (not comments) have been logged in the active session. Comment box: Comments can be to add any information relevant to your scenario or event. For example: Student forgot their badge, you can log their name. Badge isn't recognized, but you can enter the name of the person. Use it to say hi to your future-self. Enter whatever text you want! (full disclosure that anything entered will be saved and others can view it) Scanning Badges: Power on the Attendance computer. It should automatically boot up, log in, and load the main attendance page. (if Windows requires a login, it should be labeled on the computer) Connect the Badge Reader (if applicable) Swipe the badge near the reader; it should beep Confirm in the log. The badge number should appear momentarily in the Scan Badge box (A) and then show up in the Log (B) Reports: To obtain a report of the logs, follow the instructions located here: https://dmu.freshservice.com/support/solutions/articles/14000051445 Troubleshooting: No Network Connection Reboot the computer/device Badge reader not beeping Disconnect and reconnect the reader and/or reboot the computer/device Reader beeps but nothing happens Most likely caused by the Scan Badge box losing "focus." Using touchpad, move the mouse the Scan Badge box and left-click. Badges not recognized This will show in the log as unidentified. ITS can help identify this badge or you can enter a comment if you know who it is.
